Join us on October 7 & October 8, 2024, for our annual long-term care conference. This year’s theme is "Strengthening Our Foundation: Balancing and Discovering New Perspectives,” which will focus on helping those who serve in long-term care homes to improve their operations, enhance approaches to resident care, and become better suited to address potential future emergencies. The conference provides an opportunity to earn up to 10.0 continuing education credit hours while engaging with the latest trends and research in long-term care.
Throughout the conference, participants will have numerous opportunities to network with fellow professionals, exchange ideas, and build lasting relationships that support their careers and improve the quality of care provided. Interactive workshops offer hands-on learning experiences, allowing attendees to deepen their understanding and skills in critical areas of long-term care management and practice.

Continuing Education
Nursing Home Administrators: This program has been approved for Continuing Education for 10.0 total participant hours by NAB/NCERS —Approval #20251006-10-A105578-DL.
Catholic Chaplains: This educational program has been submitted to the National Association of Catholic Chaplains for approval to grant Continuing Education Hours.
Dietitians (Registered): This educational program has been submitted to the Commission on Dietetic Registration for approval to award Continuing Professional Education Units.
Nurses: This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the Northeast Multistate Division Education Unit, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation
New York State Social Workers: Avila Institute of Gerontology, Inc. is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0265. Participants can earn 10.0 Contact Hours.
Attendance
All participants must watch each session in its entirety, submit the required attendance verification code(s), and complete an evaluation form to earn continuing education credits.
Refund Policy
Cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing (email is acceptable) and must be received 7 days prior to the event to be eligible for a full refund. If a request is made after this date, a credit voucher will be issued to be used toward a future AIG event. The voucher expires within 1 year of the cancellation. AIG regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows. Substitutions are accepted without penalty and must register for the event, noting who they are replacing. Please send all cancellation and substitution requests to support@avilainstitute.org.
